RF Groups

Reading First Groups offer you a way to organize and to keep up-to-date with specific information. There are three default groups for facilitators, coaches and MDE staff. But you can create your own group if you desire.

You can create your own group by going to Create Content and choosing groups.

Once you create your group, when you create content you will be able to specify which groups the item should appear under. This can be very useful if you want to collaborate on items.

Some things you should keep in mind:

If you want the item to be focused on the group, go to the group home page and select create content link there. By default items will only show up inside of the group. For example, if there was a specific announcement that you wanted coaches to see and you are a coach, go to the coach home page and post a story there. You do have the ability to show the post to everyone, and you do that by selecting the Public checkbox under the groups option.
